Hackathon Explained

What is a Hackathon?

A traditional hackathon has a group of programmers that work in a very short time frame to produce a software product of some sort.
The ENABLE Hackathon is not that type of hackathon.  We are gathering young people over the summer to present a creation by September 27th.
If you start your creation today - that's great.
If you start in September - that's fine too. Just remember to register today and submit by September 27th.
So what IS the ENABLE Hackathon?
The ENABLE Hackathon:
  • talks to young people about the problem of bullying
  • helps young people to understand the dynamics behind bullying
  • guides young people as they work in teams to find creative solutions to stop bullying
You don't have to be a coder or super tech young person. You only need to be willing to think about bullying and ways to stop it.
Your final creation is up to you. You can create ANYTHING that you want that shares your idea and message. If you have any questions, email us at info-enable@eun.org.
