ENABLE (European Network Against Bullying in Learning and Leisure Environments) aims to tackle bullying in a holistic way, helping young people exercise their fundamental rights in the home, school, class and community (i.e. peer group). Using a unique approach that combines social and emotional learning (SEL) with Peer Support, the ENABLE team strives to provide school staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence that can help them establish an effective student Peer Support scheme in their schools and develop their students’ social and emotional skills. Stay InformedThe ENABLE 2 ACT conference marks the end of the project and celebrates its success The ENABLE 2 Act conference, held last week in Zagreb under the patronage of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, brought together experts, teachers, and youth from more than a dozen countries from Europe and beyond. 28.09.16 New content available on the ENABLE site The ENABLE team has published fresh content for its audience of education practitioners, parents and carers interested in anti-bullying trends and approaches. Here is what is new: 14.09.16 Ballyclare High School takes part in European anti-bullying initiative Ballyclare High School has taken part in a new programme which aims to prevent and reduce bullying in schools across Europe. 07.07.16 Cause for concern: bullying of young people with disabilities Teachers and specialists from ten countries took part in a two-day workshop on technology and students with special educational needs (SEN).
