ENABLE (European Network Against Bullying in Learning and Leisure Environments) aims to tackle bullying in a holistic way, helping young people exercise their fundamental rights in the home, school, class and community (i.e. peer group). Using a unique approach that combines social and emotional learning (SEL) with Peer Support, the ENABLE team strives to provide school staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence that can help them establish an effective student Peer Support scheme in their schools and develop their students’ social and emotional skills. Stay InformedAmbassadors across Europe join efforts to combat bullying with ENABLE Ambassadors from 6 European countries (Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Romania, UK) have joined the ENABLE project in order to collectively tackle the issue with bullying in the classroom and beyond. 03.11.15 ENABLE made it to the eTwinning conference! An ENABLE workshop has been organised at the eTwinning conference on 22-24 October in Brussels. eTwinning is the community for schools in Europe and offers a free and safe platform for teachers to connect, develop collaborative projects and share ideas. 29/10/15 Tackling bullying. One hackathon at a time In certain parts of the world, October is earmarked as the anti-bullying month, but for a growing number of countries across the European Union, the high point is EU Code Week. 21/10/2015 Awards Ceremony in London marks the end of the ENABLE Hackathon The end of the ENABLE Hackathon was celebrated with a central Europe Code Week 2015 event that took place at the Facebook London office on 13 October. 14/10/2015 ENABLE Hackathon - Young people design their own solutions to combat bullying Press release: Brussels, 7 October 2015: Well over 100 young people aged 9-17 years and 35 mentors from 15 different countries worldwide participated in the ENABLE Hackathon, launched in June 2015, to reflect on the causes and process of bullying and use their creative and coding skills to propose solutions. 08/10/2015
